Leadership Flathead, now in its fifteenth year, is a community leadership program that identifies, trains, and supports community leaders.

Basic Function: The Small Business Development Center Director provides small business assistance to existing and prospective business owners in Flathead, Lake, and Lincoln counties.
Scope: Assistance is provided through one-on-one counseling sessions and includes:
  1. Working with individuals to increase awareness of basic credit practices and requirements.
  2. Working with individuals to develop business plans, financial packages, credit applications, and contract proposals.
  3. Working to develop and provide informational tools for use in working with individuals on pre-business startup planning, existing business expansion, and export planning.

Responsible for providing and promoting procurement technical assistance to businesses in Flathead, Lake, Lincoln, and Sanders Counties for the acquisition of Federal, State and local government contracts. Develop and maintain the Kalispell Procurement Technical Assistance Sub-Recipient Center for Big Sky Economic Development Authority using prescribed requirements for a Montana Procurement Technical Assistance Program.
