Welcome to Discover Kalispell
Discover Kalispell is a division of the Kalispell Chamber of Commerce.
Discover Kalispell is a destination marketing and stewardship organization strengthening Kalispell’s economy while preserving what makes our community special.
Since 1987, the Kalispell Chamber has served as the official tourism marketing organization for the City of Kalispell. In 2010, the Chamber launched the Kalispell Convention & Visitor Bureau (CVB) and its visitor-facing brand, Discover Kalispell.
Today, Discover Kalispell is a destination marketing and stewardship organization. We manage a sales and promotion strategy built on strengthening the local economy while preserving the community’s values and assets. Our goal is a strong, year-round tourism economy that supports local businesses and protects the cultural, environmental, and economic integrity of Kalispell.
We’re funded through Kalispell’s share of the 8% state accommodations tax (Bed Tax) and the $4 per room night Tourism Business Improvement District (TBID) fee, which means visitors, not local taxpayers, fund our work. The annual Discover Kalispell marketing plan directs the initiatives and spending for the CVB and TBID. It also informs and educates our board of directors, community stakeholders, the Tourism Advisory Council, and the City of Kalispell.
